Flush Fan
How do you flush an indoor Trane air conditioner?
My loft came with one of those indoor AC units. It looks kinda like the type you would see in a hotel room under the window - not the central air unit.
Every summer the cold air shuts off and we just get the fan until we call someone to come flush it out for $400.
Does anyone know how I can do this myself with some chemicals from home depot and a new filter? It always waits until it's 100 degrees out to stop working...
If I am understanding you, with your problem correctly, they are not "flushing the system" they are evacuating, and recharging with freon. For this to be happening every summer, you have a leak in the system, and should call another service company to fix it, since the one you are calling is not checking for leaks.
You can not do this your self, you should be licensed, and you need refrigerant recovery equipment
