High Definition
Do videos taken on a high definition camera need to be played on a high definition tv?
I am choosing a digital camera for the first time. I am looking seriously at the Canon IXUS 100 IS. I note it takes high definition videos. If I don't have HD equipment, will it still work on a normal laptop / tv?
If you want to output the video from the camera in HD then you do need an HDTV, otherwise, it will still output HD videos in Standard Definition in a Standard TV via a Composite Cable (which should come with the camera).
If you want to output your HD video (from camera) to a laptop(or desktop), then it will work flawlessly.
