Rare Gardena
If there was a tsunami in LA would it reach cities like Gardena, Carson, or Torrance?
Everywhere around i think manhattan beach and playa del rey I've seen tsunami evacuation route signs. I know its very rare for a tsunami to happen but if it did happen in like redondo beach or something, would it generally hit the more inland south bay cities? or would it only happen if it were like a huge, extremely powerful one?
no, actually title waves go only about five miles-- though they damage a lot few people who are on the beach with at least a 30 min warning are severely injured... they can see and get warnings and even if you can't find a vehicle you can run at least three miles in the time-- and even if you don't know them, who would have the heart to abandon someone when its as easy as walking to the car?
