Hotels in VEGAS?

i'm going to america with my boyfriend in september, going to Vegas 7th to 13th, we've made a shortlist and i was hoping for some advice or recommendatins!
has anyone been to these hotels? or know of any that aren't too pricey, but decent!

Rather than the ones you have on your list I would suggest.

Palace Station would be a better option than Boulder. Palace Station has a free shuttle to the strip, it's much closer to the action and it's generally less expensive.

If you are thinking of staying downtown I would suggest either Main Street Station or the El Cortez. MSS is much nicer than the California.

The El Cortez is very inexpensive, the casino isn't very nice but the tower rooms are huge and very nice. You can stay at this one for as little as $15 per night with a coupon from the 2008 American Casino Guide.

Orleans

The Orleans is a very nice hotel(voted #2 best value hotel in the world by tripadvisor.com) It's located about 1 mile west of the strip, but they have a free shuttle to the strip & the Gold Coast

Stratosphere

Very nice hotel, located at the North end of the strip.

If it were me, I would break up my stay. Maybe stay 4 nights at the El Cortez for $60(you can always use two coupons and make reservations in each of your names). Then either 3 nights at the Orleans, Gold Coast or Stratosphere.
