Fallout New Vegas: Stuck in Caesar's legion with the platinum chip!??!?
I went to caesars legion, and now they wont let me leave with the chip... I want to go back to Yes Man and work on taking over Vegas on my own, but now I cant get out with the platinum chip. Anyone, help?!?
I had the same problem and I found a solution, albeit not the most... elegant one.
Go to Caesar and talk with him. He'll command you to get into the underground base to destroy Mr. House. If you want to do that - go ahead and do it. If not, here's what to do (If you don't care about your reputation with the Legion).
After Caesar gave you the Quest and the Platinum Chip, go to the entrance of the fort where the guards tell you that you may leave but not with the Platinum Chip. Just punch one of the guards (Preferably the most important one - just for fun) in the face, so they become hostile towards you. Then just quickly get to the entrance and travel back to Cottonwood Cove, which now should work.
At least one of the guards will follow you so get your weapons ready right away (Which you apparently took when you fled) and shoot the bastard. You'll have the Chip in your pocket and all your equipment too.
But remember, this solution will propably ruin your reputation with the Legion, so think about what you want to do. Hope this helps!
(Hint & SPOILER: I don't know if it's there if you don't have one particular quest, but look at the table in the tent left of Caesar. There lies a book which you may need when you talk to certain people far west of the map...)
